Kufri Lauvkar is a medium-maturing potato variety developed by the Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Shimla, India. It produces large, round tubers with smooth white skin and creamy flesh, making it ideal for table use as well as processing into chips and flakes. This variety matures in approximately 75–80 days and is moderately resistant to late blight, which ensures a reliable yield. Kufri Lauvkar is well-adapted to the plains and plateau regions of India and responds well to balanced fertilization, especially nitrogen.
