Kufri Badshah is a high-yielding potato variety developed by the Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Shimla, India. It is a medium-maturing variety, ready for harvest in approximately 75–80 days, making it suitable for farmers looking for an early-to-midseason crop.
The tubers are large, oval, with smooth white to light cream skin and white flesh. Sometimes, the skin may show a pale purple tinge when exposed to light. Kufri Badshah is moderately resistant to early and late blight and has a slow degeneration rate, which ensures longer viability for seed and storage.
